P. Scott Eaton

Mr. Eaton has practiced in the areas of personal injury litigation and insurance coverage matters since 1982. A native and lifelong resident of New Mexico, he was born and raised in Roswell, and has lived and worked in Albuquerque for more than 40 years.

He has served as a member of the New Mexico Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, the Bench/Bar Media Relations Committee and has been a member of several Judicial Nominating Commissions. He also occasionally serves as a hearing officer and hearing committee member for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court.

Mr. Eaton is a past president of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association. In addition to his representation of clients in litigation, he has served as a court-appointed mediator in numerous personal injury lawsuits.

Before obtaining a law degree from the University of New Mexico Law School in 1982, Mr. Eaton worked as a journalist in various cities in New Mexico, including Albuquerque, Farmington, Raton and Artesia. He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and New Mexico Military Institute.

Mr. Eaton formed the Eaton Law Office in 1998 to focus primarily on personal injury litigation and insurance coverage issues. He went on of counsel status in 2020.
